Charity of Hope – Toonie Stream Thank-You Giveaway

This initiative is a promotional contest and is not a lottery, raffle, 50/50 draw, or any game of chance requiring a ticket purchase.
It is not regulated by the AGCO (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario).
It falls under Canadian promotional contest laws and general advertising standards, specifically Section 206(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Participation is voluntary, and no donation or purchase is necessary to enter or receive a gift. A donation does not increase your chances of being selected.

Official Contest Rules – Toonie Stream Thank-You Giveaway

1. Sponsor and Administrator

The Toonie Stream Thank-You Giveaway (the “Contest”) is organized and administered by Charity of Hope, a registered Canadian charity.

2. Contest Period

The Contest begins on April 18, 2025 at 4:00 PM EST and ends on April 25, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST.

3. Eligibility

  • Open to all legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory.
  • Employees, board members, representatives, agents of Charity of Hope, and their immediate family members or those living in the same household are not eligible.

4. How to Enter

A. Donation Entry:
Make a $2 donation (a toonie) via www.charityofhope.com/stream. Each donation equals one (1) entry.

B. No Purchase Necessary Entry:
To enter without donating, email info@charityofhope.com with subject line “Toonie Stream Contest Entry.” Include your full name, phone number, mailing address, and a 50-word statement on how you support your community. Limit: one entry per person.

5. Fundraising Milestones & Gift Amounts

For every fundraising milestone reached, one randomly selected participant will receive a cash appreciation gift:

  • $1,000 raised → $100
  • $2,500 raised → $250
  • $5,000 raised → $500
  • $10,000 raised → $1,000
  • $25,000 raised → $2,500

These amounts are fixed thank-you gifts and not percentages of total funds raised.

6. Winner Selection

One recipient will be randomly drawn for each milestone. The draw will occur no later than 5 days after April 25, 2025.

7. Winner Notification and Prize Claim

Winners will be notified via phone or email within five (5) business days. To claim the prize, recipients must:

  • Respond within 5 days
  • Correctly answer a skill-testing question
  • Sign a declaration of eligibility and release

If not completed, another entrant may be selected.

8. General Conditions

  • This is a promotional thank-you campaign — not a lottery, raffle, or 50/50.
  • All donation and no-donation entries are treated equally.
  • A donation is not required to participate or win.
  • Gifts are not a return on donation.
  • Charity of Hope reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest as needed.

9. Privacy

By entering, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal info for contest administration.

10. Governing Law

This contest is governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada, and is void where prohibited.
